Barbara Alice Combs

Barbara Alice Combs, age 62 years and 3 days, entered eternal life July 19, 2009 at her home in Broken Arrow surrounded by her family.  She was born July 16, 1947 in Stigler to Arthur Dean and Lula May (Peevyhouse) Pearson.  She married Jim “Enos” Combs March 13, 1969 in Rogers, AR.

A retired daycare teacher and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, classical music, her daily morning cup of coffee, watching Dukes of Hazzard and eating Doritos with her children on Friday nights, and especially her grandchildren.  Barbara recently shared a cruise with her family to Cozumel. 

She was preceded in death by her father; granddaughter Mayson Elaine McMillan; and son Leonard Dean.  Barbara is survived by her mother and ex-husband; daughter Cindy McMillan; sons: Jimmy Combs and his wife Farra, Timmon Combs and his wife Jennifer, Jonathan Combs; grandchildren: Morgan and Miley McMillan, Camron and Connor Combs, Nick and Nathan Combs; siblings: Wade Pearson, Darrell Pearson, Arnevia Weatherly, Gail Alexander, Marshia Duvall; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-7PM Tuesday, July 21; service: 10AM Wednesday, July 22 at First Baptist Church of Rolling Hills; interment: Dick Duck Cemetery in Catoosa.
