Paul Cecil Baker

Paul Cecil Baker was born September
12, 1926 in Wagoner County,
three miles east of
Broken Arrow,
OK to Irvin and Ruth Baker.
He departed at his home in Chelsea, OK
with family at his side to be with the Lord early Monday
morning, October 12, 2009.
Paul was a World War II veteran
serving in the Army of the United States Air Force, 13th
Air Service Group, where he was awarded the WWII Victory
Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal.
He was a Mason of Masonic Lodge #185 in
Catoosa, OK and a man of very strong faith, helping to
start many churches.
Paul worked at Braden Steel in
Tulsa, OK for 32 ˝ years, then retiring from DACO
Construction, Inc. in Catoosa, OK after 15 years to live
and work on AWB Ranch until his death.
Paul loved camping, horseback riding and dancing.
Paul was preceded in death by his
father Irvin and mother Ruth of Broken Arrow, and sister
Virginia Conley of
Chelsea.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Phyllis
of the home; four sons: Alan Baker and wife Vicki of
Chelsea, Terry Baker and wife Angel of Claremore, OK,
Jay Baker and fiancé Teresa Martin of Chelsea, Jimmy
Baker and wife Valerie of Catoosa; four grandsons: Jason
Baker and wife Rachel of Claremore, Kyle Baker and wife
Jacque of Catoosa, Evan Baker of Catoosa and Gus Baker
of Chelsea; six granddaughters: Amy Crummett of Coweta,
Jamie Dillard of Claremore, Stephanie Baker of Chelsea,
Jessica McConnell and husband Brad of Claremore, Megan
Sakewicz and husband Joe of Collinsville, OK, Erika
Baker of Chelsea and fiancé Joshua Dill of Pryor, OK and
Kayla Baker of Chelsea; nine great-grandchildren and one
great-great-granddaughter; John Horton of Catoosa, Mary
Poucher of Winterhaven, FL, Lawrence and Betty Baker of
Ketchum, OK; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 7-8PM Wednesday,
October 14; 10AM Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Bethel
Chapel at 12th and
Florence
in Claremore; interment:
Park
Grove
