Rudy Foutz
Rudy was born on March 28, 1947 in
Tulsa,
OK to John Wesley and Patti Nadine
(Wells) Foutz. He was a 3rd generation
resident and farmer in
Catoosa,
OK. Rudy graduated
Catoosa
High School (1965) where
he met his lifelong love of 41 years, Sherrill Jean
(Guilfoyle) Foutz. Rudy attended
Oklahoma State and
Tulsa
Universities along with
honorably serving his country. Rudy operated Foutz Farms
after his father’s death in 1969 and later began his own
business, Port City Septic which he owned and operated
until his death.
Rudy had many hobbies including racing modified midget
racecars and becoming part owner of Ru-Jo Raceway. His
most recent hobby was participating in many poker
tournaments, which included winning a seat in a World
Series of Poker Tournament and a 3-time member of Team
Cherokee Poker group. Other past-time activities
included obtaining his private pilot’s license, golfing,
weekly “date” nights with his wife, and bragging and his
2 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Rudy was preceded in death
by his brothers; Robert, Kenneth and John Foutz, Jr.
Rudy is survived by his loving wife Sherry; daughters:
Dr. Tina Foutz of Oologah, Doris Foutz-Cravens and
husband Chris of Owasso; grandchildren: Reagan and
Coleman Cravens; cousin Elizabeth-Ann Finchum of
Strawberry Plains, Tennessee. Rudy was a devoted
husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, Oct. 9th
from 5-7 P.M. at Kennedy-Amis-Kennard Funeral Home,
